FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police Department have released the name of a man killed in a stabbing last month. As of Oct. 3, no charges had been filed in connection to the incident.

Fidel Gonzales, 42, of Farmington, was pronounced dead on Sept. 26 after being transported to the San Juan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room, according to a Farmington Police Department press release.

Officers were dispatched around 1:42 a.m. to the 1000 block of Glade Lane on reports of a stabbing, according to The Daily Times archives.

Several men were involved in a fight when officers arrived on scene.

Two of the men — including Gonzales — were transported to the hospital emergency room, each with a single stab wound.

The second victim, a 23-year-old man, was treated and released from the hospital on Sept. 27.

Police Department spokesperson Nicole Brown told The Daily Times investigators had a lot of digital evidence to process from the scene.

No charges have been filed in the case.
