Farmington police arrest man on child pornography charges
FARMINGTON — Farmington police have arrested a 35-year-old man on multiple child pornography and solicitation charges.
Shawn Ridgley, of Farmington, was arrested Friday afternoon by officers for the Farmington Police Department on 10 felony charges, according to a Farmington police press release.
Those charges include three counts of sexual exploitation of a child, three counts of child solicitation by electronic device and one count of criminal sexual communication with a child.
Farmington detectives started the investigation of Ridgley on Sept. 21, and it allegedly involved him and a 14-year-old female, according to the press release.
Ridgley was booked into the San Juan County Adult Detention Center.
The investigation into the case is continuing, police said.
