FARMINGTON — Farmington police are investigating an alleged armed robbery Tuesday evening involving a woman the victim met through an online dating site and two men with a shotgun.

Farmington Police Department officers were dispatched around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday to a residence on Delhi Avenue on a report of an armed robbery, according to a Farmington Police press release.

The 34-year-old male victim had met a woman through an online dating site and made plans to meet that evening at his residence.

She arrived there around 9:45 p.m. A while later, a person knocked on the man's door, and she answered it. Two men entered the residence and hit the victim in the face with a shotgun.

The woman then took a pair of jeans that had the victim's keys and wallet in them and left the residence after the two men entered.

The victim's landlord heard the noise and went over to check on the victim. The landlord then ran into one of the men, who pointed a shotgun at the landlord.

The woman and the two men were spotted fleeing the area in a white, older-model Chevrolet four-door sedan.

The victim was transported to the San Juan Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The landlord was not injured during the incident.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Farmington Police Department's detective division at 505-599-1005.
