The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office wants to know if a caregiver arrested last week for suspicion of kidnapping and sexual assault has other victims who did not yet report crimes against them.

The accused was an independent contractor for the San Juan Center for Independence.

Sheriff’s Detectives arrested Nigel Tucker, 62, and accused him of “unlawfully transporting a friend of one of his clients, without their consent to his home and engaging in unwanted sexual acts,” according to the agency’s Facebook page.

Tucker faces two counts first degree kidnapping (to inflict death, physical injury or a sexual offense on the victim), second degree criminal sexual penetration and five counts of third degree criminal sexual penetration.

“Detectives believe there could be other victims that have not yet come forward,” the Sheriff’s Office said in the post. “Detective Mauldin would like to speak to anyone that is a victim of Nigel Tucker. If you, or someone you know may have been a victim of Mr. Tucker please call our office at 505-334-6107 and ask to speak to one of our Detectives.”

Tucker has contracted as a caregiver for “senior patients with limited cognitive abilities that live in the Apple Ridge Apartments in Farmington,” the Sheriff’s post stated.
