FARMINGTON — A Farmington man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a methamphetamine trafficking conviction.

Jeffrey Kline, 45, was sentenced during a hearing Monday morning at an Albuquerque federal courthouse and will have six years of probation after he serves his prison sentence, according to a U.S. Department of Justice press release.

Kline and co-defendant Season Smith, 42, of Farmington, were arrested in April 2017 on an indictment for conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in San Juan County.

During a July 26 hearing, Kline pleaded guilty to possessing more than 50 grams of meth with intent to distribute it to other individuals, the press release states.

Kline and Smith were indicted on Feb. 10, 2017. Smith has pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against her.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Farmington Police Department investigated the case.
