Farmington police investigate stabbing at Motel 6

Farmington police officers secure an area where a stabbing occurred on Wednesda at the Motel 6 on Bloomfield Boulevard in Farmington.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred this afternoon at a motel on Bloomfield Boulevard.

Farmington officers were dispatched around 2:40 p.m. today on a report of a possible stabbing at the Motel 6 at 1600 Bloomfield Blvd., according to police spokeswoman Georgette Allen.

Police arrived at the scene and found a 26-year-old man with injuries to his left arm and abdomen. He was transported by medics to the San Juan Regional Medical Center, where he was in stable but critical condition.

Detectives were interviewing three individuals who were in the area, Allen said. Investigators were searching for the weapon.

The incident remained under investigation.
