The FBI and Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety are requesting the public's help for information on an unidentified man who was found in a burned trailer, according to a FBI press release.

The fire was reported early Thursday at a trailer with an address listed as Mesa Farm Road 4th Lane South, the press release states.

Chris Cardin, the San Juan County fire marshal and division chief, said the fire was reported around 3:45 a.m. Thursday. He said firefighters from the Shiprock Fire Department and Navajo police officers were first on the scene.

Shiprock firefighters did not request assistance from county fire department, Cardin said.

He did not know when the fire was extinguished but added there were no other injuries or property damage from the blaze.

The body of the man was discovered inside the trailer, and the cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy.
