FARMINGTON — A Farmington man pleaded guilty last week to a methamphetamine trafficking charge in federal court.

Alexis Tarango, 22, pleaded guilty Friday in Santa Fe federal court on an indictment which charged him with possession of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in San Juan County, according to a U.S. Department of Justice press release.

He was arrested on July 13 and the incident occurred on Jan 30, 2016.

During Friday's hearing, Tarango pleaded guilty without a plea agreement in place, according to the press release.
