FARMINGTON — Aztec High School students can return to the school grounds this afternoon to retrieve their personal belongings following Thursday's fatal shootings.

A post on the San Juan County Sheriff's Office Facebook page this afternoon stated students can visit the school from 2 to 4 p.m. today to pick up their items from the first-hour class they attended on Thursday.

Students are instructed to go to the main office, where they will be escorted to their classroom to retrieve their belongings.

Teachers will be in their classrooms this afternoon and security will be on school grounds, according to the Facebook post.

Junior Francisco I. Fernandez and senior Casey J. Marquez were shot to death Thursday morning by an Aztec resident who later killed himself.
