Woman's death being investigated as homicide



FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a woman found dead in a park early Sunday.

The department is investigating the death of a woman found in Brook Haven Park West as a homicide, according to a Farmington police press release.

Officers were dispatched at 7:06 a.m. to the park on reports of an injured female lying on the ground.

The woman was found dead when officers arrived on scene. Signs of foul play were present, according to the press release.

The woman is described as a Native American female of average height and stature with no tattoos or significant scarring, according to the press release.

She was wearing a pair of "black Nike skater style low-cut sneaks with large pink swooshes," blue jeans with holes and a black knit sweater with a black-and-white striped scarf.


Police observed the nail polish she was wearing had a black base with purple glitter on top.
