Bus service begins next week from Dulce to Farmington

A North Central Regional Transit District bus will transport Jicarilla Apache Nation residents from Dulce to both Farmington and Chama starting in October.

FARMINGTON — The bus service that will run between Dulce and Farmington will start Monday, Oct. 2.

The North Central Regional Transit District route will take people from Dulce and Chama to Farmington. It will also stop in Bloomfield.

The bus route will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, according to a press release from North Central Regional Transit District. It will stop at Orchard Plaza in Farmington to allow riders easy access to the Red Apple Transit bus system. 

The route was made possible through a $211,197 grant the Jicarilla Apache Nation received from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Transit Administration.
