Farmington police investigating stabbing

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred this afternoon where a male sustained non-life threatening wounds.

Officers were dispatched around 2 p.m. to the 300 block of West Gladden Drive after receiving a report of a fight, according to Farmington police spokeswoman Georgette Allen.

A 26-year-old male was stabbed during an altercation and transported by another individual to the San Juan Regional Medical Center.

The victim has nonlife-threatening injuries, according to Allen. She did not know if he had been released from the hospital.

The case was still under investigation, and detectives were interviewing the involved parties at the scene as of this afternoon, according to Allen.
