Farmington police seek person of interest

FARMINGTON — Farmington police are seeking a person of interest in regard to a larceny that took place at a local business today.

Police officers were dispatched at about 12:15 p.m. to Ku Tips Nursery and Gifts, 1817 Schofield Lane, after receiving a report that an undisclosed amount of money had been taken from a register.

Farmington Police Department spokeswoman Georgette Allen said there is no suspect in the incident, but police are looking for a person of interest. That individual was described as a Native American man in his late 20s, about 5-foot-9 and weighing about 150 pounds. He also was described as having a 2-inch cut on the left side of his face, and he was walking a chocolate-color bulldog-rottweiler mix.

The man left the scene in a gray passenger car.
