Farmington police investigate stabbing

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred Saturday.

Shortly after 6:45 p.m., Farmington officers responded to a report of a down subject in the area of Concorran Drive and Allen Avenue near Boyd Park, according to an email from police spokeswoman Georgette Allen.

Officers found a Native American man who had been stabbed multiple times. He was transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Allen said in the email today that the man is still in the hospital.

She said police are not releasing his name until his family has been notified.

Police do not yet have a suspect.
