Local man accused in 4-year-old girl's rape
FARMINGTON — A 24-year-old local man made an initial court appearance Wednesday on allegations he raped and molested a 4-year-old girl.
Dylan Solorzano was charged Tuesday in Aztec Magistrate Court with two counts of criminal sexual penetration in the first degree, four counts of criminal sexual contact in the second degree and four counts of criminal sexual contact in the third degree.

The girl disclosed to a relative about a month ago that an acquaintance of her mother molested her, but the San Juan County Sheriff's Office did not learn about the abuse until Sept. 26, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The girl underwent a sexual assault examination and told investigators Solorzano had hurt her, the affidavit states.
The girl described in child-like detail several incidents in which Solorzano allegedly raped her at the family's residence in San Juan County, according to the affidavit. She said one of the incidents occurred in Colorado, the affidavit states.
Detectives spoke with Solorzano in an interview at the sheriff's office, according to the affidavit.

Solorzano wrote a letter of apology to the girl at the detectives' suggestion, according to the affidavit.
