FARMINGTON — A 57-year-old Blanco man was arrested on suspicion of child solicitation earlier this month, according to a San Juan County Sheriff's Office press release.

An undercover detective with the sheriff's office contacted Alvinson Kenneth online on Aug. 29 and pretended to be a 12-year-old girl, according to the release.

During the ensuing conversation, Kenneth is alleged to have asked the detective to perform sexual acts, and sent the detective a graphic photo, the release states. Kenneth also asked to meet the detective in person, according to the release.

Detectives met Kenneth on Sept. 1 at a Farmington grocery store parking lot, where he was taken into custody, the release states.

Kenneth confessed to detectives he sent the messages and photos to an individual he assumed was a 12-year-old girl, according to the release.

Kenneth faces three counts of child solicitation by electronic device, which includes one aggravated offense.

Kenneth was being held today at the San Juan County Adult Detention Center. His bond was set at $200,000.
