FARMINGTON — A 42-year-old man faces a felony charge on allegations he urinated in front of several children who attended a birthday celebration at Berg Park.

Police were dispatched at 10:32 a.m. Saturday to the park in Farmington after receiving reports of the incident, according to arrest records.

Officers met Gilbert Valdez at the scene, records state. Valdez told police he was at the park celebrating his 7-year-old son's birthday when Terrall Nez pulled out his genitals and urinated in front of several children, according to records. Valdez said he yelled at Nez, who then made an aggressive gesture at the father and laid down in the grass.

Police found Nez shirtless and asleep, and he was placed under arrest, records state. Nez was charged with aggravated indecent exposure, a fourth-degree felony.

His bond was set at $5,000, according to court records. He has not retained legal representation, records state.
