Police investigate drive-by shooting

FARMINGTON — Police today investigated a drive-by shooting that occurred Tuesday night west of Bloomfield.

Detective Lt. Kyle Lincoln of the San Juan County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday to the area of County Road 5485 after receiving reports of the shooting.

Lincoln said deputies at the scene obtained a description of the suspect vehicle, a gray Ford pick-up truck. Police also identified a suspect in the shooting.

No one was injured in the incident, according to Lincoln.

He said more information would be available after a warrant has been issued.

Shooting from a motor vehicle is a fourth-degree felony, punishable by up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines.
