FARMINGTON — A Sanostee man pleaded guilty today  in federal court to assaulting a woman at his home on the Navajo Reservation, according to a U.S. Department of Justice press release.

Patrick Wadsworth, 45, was arrested on Jan. 22, on allegations he assaulted a woman resulting in serious bodily injury on Nov. 6, 2014 in San Juan County, according to the press release.

According to the press release, Wadsworth pleaded guilty in court and admitted on Nov. 6, 2014, he assaulted the victim by striking her and causing bruises to her face, arms and knees. He also admitted the crime took place at this residence on the Navajo Reservation in San Juan County.

Elizabeth Martinez, U.S. Department of Justice spokeswoman, said in an email today that a sentencing hearing has not been scheduled for Wadsworth.
