FBI seeks suspect in robbery at credit union
Police say the suspect robbed U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union on East Main Street in Farmington
FARMINGTON — The FBI is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect in today's robbery of a local credit union.
Police were dispatched at 1:42 p.m. to the U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union, 3024 E. Main St. in Farmington, after receiving reports that a man robbed the bank while armed with a knife, according to an FBI press release.
The suspect, who fled the bank on foot, is described as a white man who is between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall.
He was wearing a tan shirt with a tan, long-sleeve jacket over it, a brown hat, black cargo pants, black sunglasses and blue gloves and had a bandanna over his mouth, according to police scanner traffic.
Aaron Lameman, A 31-year-old employee at the nearby Rent-A-Center, said he saw a man matching the suspect's description as he was arriving for work.
"He jumped in front of my car," Lameman said.
Lameman said he realized there had been a robbery when he saw customers and employees inside the bank with their hands in the air. He said police then arrived at the scene and drew their guns.
