Police: Shots fired in road rage incident

No one was injured in the incident and no arrests have been made, though detectives are continuing their investigation, according to police

FARMINGTON — Police this afternoon investigated reports of shots fired during a road rage incident in east Farmington.

Farmington police were dispatched at 12:38 p.m. to the intersection of East Main Street and Old Aztec Highway after receiving reports of the shooting, according to a press release from Farmington police.

Officers made contact with two men at the scene, identified in the release as Daniel Estrada, 22, of Farmington, and Tristin Bingham, 18, of Flora Vista.

Police determined after a preliminary investigation that Estrada fired two rounds from a handgun into the air during a road rage dispute, the release states.

No one was injured in the shooting.

No arrests were made this afternoon, but detectives continued to investigate the incident.
