Suspect arrested in south Farmington stabbing
FARMINGTON – Rose Beeson, the 35-year-old suspect in last week's nonfatal stabbing in south Farmington, was arrested Tuesday on an unrelated warrant, according to Farmington police spokeswoman Georgette Allen.
Allen said Beeson was questioned by detectives Wednesday morning about the stabbing of her boyfriend, and, based on that interview, detectives obtained a warrant for her arrest on the charge of aggravated battery against a household member.
Allen declined to say whether Beeson confessed to stabbing 33-year-old Jose Garcia during questioning.
Farmington police were dispatched at 4 p.m. Friday to 1424 S. Butler Ave. after receiving reports of the stabbing. Police learned at the scene Garcia was stabbed and then taken by a person to a location on Spruce Street.
Garcia was treated and released from the San Juan Regional Medical Center.
