Deputies searching for armed robbery suspects

FARMINGTON – The San Juan County Sheriff's Office is looking for suspects in an attempted robbery Saturday at the Farmington Flea Market.

The San Juan County Sheriff's Office is looking for this suspect in an attempted robbery that took place Saturday at the Farmington Flea Market.

The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. Saturday when two men allegedly tried to steal a knife from a vendor at the market, 701 E. Main St. One of the men reportedly threatened the vendor with a knife. The vendor then drew a gun, according to the sheriff's office.

The second suspect allegedly also drew a gun. Sheriff's office Detective Lt. Kyle Lincoln said no shots were fired. The two men reportedly left in a gray truck.

The suspects are described as an older man with a white beard wearing a baseball cap and gray jacket, and a man wearing a black, hooded jacket and sunglasses.
