FARMINGTON — Police say they have unmasked the suspect accused of robbing a Farmington gas station over the weekend.

A 17-year-old Farmington boy was arrested Tuesday for allegedly entering the Giant gas station at 2603 E. 20th St. in Farmington on Saturday dressed in an all-black costume and a mask from the movie "Scream," according to a Farmington Police Department press release.

The teenager allegedly threatened two female employees at the gas station with a gun, at one point firing a shot over their heads, the release states. The employees surrendered $70 in cash, and the teen allegedly fled the store on foot, according to the release.

The teenager is being charged as a juvenile with armed robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the San Juan County Juvenile Detention Center, according to the release.
