FBI continues to investigate Aztec bank robbery

FARMINGTON — FBI spokesman Frank Fisher said Wednesday no arrest has been made in connection to last week's bank robbery.

According to an FBI press release, the suspect entered the Four Corners Community Bank at 1301 W. Aztec Blvd. in Aztec at 11:47 a.m. Friday and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, and she fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a 40- to 45-year-old Hispanic woman, approximately 5 feet tall with a medium build. She was wearing a white hat, sunglasses, a navy blue, long-sleeve sweatshirt and white pants.

The FBI may offer up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the bank robber. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 505-889-1300. Tips may also be submitted online at
