Herrell opens congressional district office in Las Cruces, plans mobile office hours
LAS CRUCES - Freshmen Rep. Yvette Herrell, R-N.M., has opened a district office in Las Cruces. The congresswoman's office announced the opening March 17 in conjunction with a Roswell office opening.
"My staff have already helped hundreds of constituents before even setting foot in their offices," said Herrell in a news release. "We haven't missed a beat in being accessible to those needing assistance and in communicating with local leaders across the district."
The release said Herrell's district staff have been working remotely since she was sworn in two months ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Las Cruces office is at 4440 Sonoma Ranch Blvd., Suite B, and is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
Herrell has also established an "aggressive" plan to hold mobile office hours, the release said. Her staff will hold regular availability in 17 different communities across the large Second Congressional District each month, including Carlsbad, Deming, Anthony, Sunland Park and Truth or Consequences.
Mobile office hours times and locations are forthcoming and will be published at herrell.house.gov.
