“The Department of Health is pleased to provide a clear window into our state’s vaccination efforts,” said DOH Secretary-Designate Dr. Tracie Collins. “This website allows New Mexicans to track our state’s progress — and we encourage everyone to play a role in that progress by registering for vaccine.”

All New Mexico residents are encouraged to register in advance for the COVID-19 vaccine. Those registered will be notified by email or telephone when the vaccine is available to them. The number of New Mexicans registered at the state's online vaccine site is approaching 500,000, Collins says.

So far, 100,601 vaccine shots have been administered out of 153,475 doses delivered to the state of the two vaccines in use. 38,479 of those shots have been delivered in the last seven days. This means New Mexico still has one of the highest vaccine administration rates in the nation, Collins said in a Thursday news conference.

The state has progressed into Phase 1B, while continuing to deliver shots to groups defined under Phase 1A. State officials announced more than 60 percent of Phase 1A residents — such as frontline healthcare workers, long-term care residents and staff and workers in other healthcare and congregate settings — have now been vaccinated.

The New Mexico Department of Health on Thursday announced the launch of the state’s vaccine dashboard.

Phase 1B includes people aged 75 and older, along with people over the age of 16 who have a list of chronic health conditions that can exacerbate complications of COVID-19 disease, and then frontline essential workers such as grocery workers, K-12 and higher education workers, and others whose duties cannot be performed remotely. Phase 1B also includes people held in custody at detention centers and correctional facilities as well as staff.

Those lacking internet access can register for the vaccine by phone at 855-600-3453.
