Fishing report: 24-inch rainbow trout caught on San Juan River

Navajo Lake: Noe Garcia of Albuquerque caught a 24-inch kokanee salmon using a snag hook near Navajo Dam on Nov. 2.
San Juan River: Ben Sameshima of Tucson, Arizona, caught a 24-inch rainbow trout near Kiddy Hole using a Yong Wing fly on Nov. 2.
Navajo Lake: Erika Thomas of Rio Rancho caught a 16-inch kokanee salmon using a snag hook on Oct. 25.
Chama River: Nicolas Villescas of Edgewood caught a 21-inch kokanee salmon between Heron Lake and El Vado Lake using a Panther Martin spinner on Nov. 4.
More than 45,000 triploid rainbow trout were released on the San Juan River on Oct. 22, as well as a little more than a thousand triploid rainbow trout on the following day, Oct. 23, on the Chama River below Abiquiu.
