Minor damage reported in accident with Red Apple bus

No injuries reported in Tuesday morning accident

Emergency personnel clear the scene of an accident involving a Red Apple Transit bus on Tuesday at the intersection of West Broadway Avenue and South Orchard Avenue in Farmington.

FARMINGTON — A Red Apple Transit bus on the green line was rear ended by a Ford Ranger at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and South Orchard Avenue near Wells Fargo Bank this morning.

The accident was reported at 10:43 a.m., according to police dispatch. 

Farmington Police Department Sgt. Brandon Lane said there were no injuries reported from the accident. There was one passenger on the bus at the time of the accident, and damage to both vehicles was minor, Lane said. One lane of west-bound traffic was closed briefly while officers responded and reported the accident.
