A CHRISTMAS CAROL: Performances of this Charles Dickens classic tale happen Dec. 7 through Dec. 9 at the San Juan College Little Theater at 7 p.m. On Dec. 10, the play starts at 2 p.m. Call the San Juan College Box Office at 566-3430 for more information and to confirm ticket availability. SANTA ON A FIRE TRUCK: Santa in the Park happens Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Bloomfield Culture Center. Bring the kids to see Santa drive in on a fire truck! The free event is at 333 S. First, Bloomfield.

STARGAZING: AstroFriday — The Star of Bethlehem, happens Dec. 8 at the San Juan College Planetarium from 6:30 & 7:30 p.m. Stargazing starts at 8:30 p.m. (weather permitting). There is no admission charge for either the planetarium show or the stargaze, but seating capacity is 60 in the planetarium dome.There is no late admittance into the planetarium theater once a show has started. BLOOMFIELD CRAFT FAIR: The 7th Annual Fran Templeton Memorial Craft Fair happens Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Bloomfield High School, 520 North 1st St Bloomfield. All proceeds from space sales will go to the Bloomfield Boys and Girls Club and the Bloomfield High School Cheerleaders.
JINGLE & MINGLE AT FARMINGTON REC.: Let Santa know what you want for Christmas on Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. – noon at the Farmington Recreation Center’s free Open House event. Make a special holiday ornament for the Recreation Center Christmas tree and one to take home or give as a gift. There will be refreshments, holiday games, and holiday door prizes plus a preview of programs and activities the center will offer in 2018.
LIVE NAVAJO NATIVITY: Navajo Ministries will present the 33rd annual Live Navajo Nativity at 2103 W. Main Street in Farmington, on Saturday evening Dec. 16 from 6-8 p.m. This is a drive-through event featuring the boys and girls from the Four Corners Home for Children who will be dressed in traditional outfits, surrounded by live animals and a real baby wrapped in a cradleboard. A Navajo choral group will sing carols, too. Free, but monetary or food donations are appreciated. For more information call 325-0255.
