Community Calendar: Chile on October at Berg Park Oct. 7

CHILE IN OCTOBER: This annual chile cook-off organized by the Farmington Chamber of Commerce at Berg Park includes chile and salsa tasting and live music. It happens on Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.  $10 adults, 12 and under free with an adult.
BOAT & FLOAT FEST: Paddle over to the Farmington Aquatic Center for their annual Boat & Float Fest!  Enjoy trying out canoes, kayaks and paddleboards in the pool on Oct. 13 from 4:30 - 7:30 pm.  Admission is $4.
CASA TRAINING: San Juan County’s Court Appointed Special Advocates will host a pre-service training for new recruits from Oct. 18 through 26 at 903 W. Apache St. in Farmington. Contact the CASA program at 325-5358 for more information.
BOOPALOOZA: This family friendly Halloween party in Historic Downtown Farmington happens Oct. 31 from 4 – 6 p.m. Enjoy games, dancing and a live DJ, costume contests, and trick or treating, courtesy of Farmington’s Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs.
DOWNTOWN MAKER'S MARKET: Visit Downtown Farmington for the Downtown Maker’s Market in Orchard Park every Thursday evening through Oct. 26.  The Maker’s Market features vendors who grow and sell produce and create baked goods, handmade goods, art, and re-purposed items; along with collectors of antiques and vintage items and much more! 
FARMINGTON GROWER’S MARKET: Shop for locally grown food and hand-made goods at the Farmington Grower’s Market every Saturday, 8 a.m. Until noon, and Tuesday, 4-6 p.m., at the Farmington Museum & Visitor Center.
