SECOND FOUR CORNERS PUBLIC SCIENCE FORUM ON METHANE: Meets Tuesday, Sept. 12, in the Durango Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave, Durango, Co. from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Durango Public Library, 1900 E 3rd Ave., also in Durango.
2017 NENAHNEZAD HARVEST FESTIVAL happens Sept. 15-16, 2017 at Nenahnezad Chapter. Sept. 15 there will be agricultural workshops and native foods demos. Also featured: Farmers Market, Arts & Crafts Fair, Live Band, Door Prizes, and a luncheon. The Nenahnezad Challenge 10K Run is Sept.y 16 with the top four runners, female and male receiving cash awards plus the first 50 runners to register will receive a T-shirt. A REAL NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: Join the Farmington Museum for live music, tractor rides and traditional favorite hands-on activities and crafts, as Farmington’s past comes alive for a Real Night at the Museum on Sept. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. This is a free event.
RACE 2 EDUCATE: The Foundation for Educational Excellence will host Farmington’s Annual Race to Educate 5K, 10K and 1/2 marathon on September 30th. The Annual Race to Educate will begin at 7am starting from the Farmington High School Campus. Kids race for free, those under age 8 must have an adult accompanying them. LEGAL ADVICE FOR THE ELDERLY: The New Mexico State Bar Association will host a free legal workshop for seniors at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center, 109 East La Plata St. in Farmington on Wednesday, Sept. 20. There will be a presentation by a Legal Resources for the Elderly Program attorney at 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and one-on-one consultations (brief legal advice, POA & AHCD) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Advance registration required for one-on-one consultation. THE FOUR CORNERS WOMEN'S CANCER SUPPORT GROUP will NOT meet in September due to the Labor Day Holiday. It will meet again on Saturday Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. at the Umbach Cancer Center at 731 Animas, Farmington. All women who have, or had, cancer are invited to attend.
