DOWNTOWN FALL CRAWL: This downtown street party celebrating the 2017 W.E. Rock Grand Nationals return to Farmington on Sept. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. Spectators will be able to see the competition rigs and meet the drivers at this unique event. The Cliffhanger’s Four Wheel Drive Club will have their flex ramp downtown for competitors and hobbyists to test their vehicle’s suspension capabilities.
HISTORY HIKE: Join the Farmington Museum for a hike to Goosenecks State Park in Mexican Hat, UT, on Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is an adult-only tour. $15 ($12 for Farmington Museum Foundation members) registration required, includes transportation to and from the museum and a lunch. LEGAL ADVICE FOR THE ELDERLY: The New Mexico State Bar Association will host a free legal workshop for seniors at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center, 109 East La Plata St. in Farmington on Wednesday, Sept. 20. There will be a presentation by a Legal Resources for the Elderly Program attorney at 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and one-on-one consultations (brief legal advice, POA & AHCD) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Advance registration required for one-on-one consultation. A REAL NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: Join the Farmington Museum for live music, tractor rides and traditional favorite hands-on activities and crafts, as Farmington’s past comes alive for a Real Night at the Museum on Sept. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. This is a free event.
RACE 2 EDUCATE: The Foundation for Educational Excellence will host Farmington’s Annual Race to Educate 5K, 10K and 1/2 marathon on September 30th. The Annual Race to Educate will begin at 7am starting from the Farmington High School Campus. Kids race for free, those under age 8 must have an adult accompanying them. THE FOUR CORNERS WOMEN'S CANCER SUPPORT GROUP will NOT meet in September due to the Labor Day Holiday. It will meet again on Saturday Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. at the Umbach Cancer Center at 731 Animas, Farmington. All women who have, or had, cancer are invited to attend.
