Schwab graduates West Point, receives commission
Cadet Scott Lindsay Schwab graduated from the U.S. Military Academy and received his commission as a U.S. Army Second Lieutenant on May 27.
Schwab graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute in 2013. He received a Bachelor of Science in Defense and Strategical Studies while at West Point.
He was commissioned within the Army’s Infantry Branch on May 27.
Schwab will report to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York after finishing the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course and Ranger School at Ft. Benning, Georgia.
He is the son of Mark and Debi Schwab and was born and raised in Farmington.
The U.S. Military Academy is a four-year co-educational federal undergraduate liberal arts college located 50 miles north of New York City. Founded in 1802 as America’s first college of engineering, West Point consistently ranks as one of the top colleges in the nation.
