Aztec Chamber of Commerce has had busy summer
It has been a whirlwind summer for the Aztec Chamber of Commerce with ribbon cuttings, new members, new marketing materials, a Business After Hours, and most important, continuing with our move to our new location.
Construction is still taking place at our new location. The new location will be an "incubator" and will house a partnership that will include the Aztec Chamber of Commerce, the city of Aztec and San Juan College. This incubator will offer a variety of services to chamber members and businesses to assist in their growth in the areas of technology, marketing, social media, small business funding and more. Offices will be available for start-up businesses to lease, and several stations with comfortable seating will be installed with free Wi-Fi for businesses.
The chamber is grateful for the desks and bookcases donated by an anonymous donor. The chamber is still seeking two to four matching office rolling chairs. If interested in this donation, please contact the chamber at 505.334.7646. We will gladly give you an in-kind letter for your gracious donation.
Business After Hours
Thank you for attending our August Business After Hours at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Aztec. And thanks to the hosts, Fuddruckers and KG & Associates – Keller Williams for their support, door prizes and fun. Chamber member KG & Associates is ready to help you list or buy your dream home or property. Call them for their expertise and great customer service at 505-787-8567.
Additional thanks to member Wines of the San Juan for offering tasty wines. Be sure to visit Wines of San Juan on Sundays for their wines, and while there enjoy the music and cheese plates. Call them at 505-632-0879 to cater your next event. Chamber member 550 Brewing Co. brought a variety of beers to taste. We are looking forward to this member opening their new facility at 119 E. Chuska in early October. For more information, call Mike Paschall at 505-402-9300.
Good Samaritan Society
This chamber member will hold its annual fundraiser starting at 2 p.m. Sept. 24. The Bar D Wranglers will sing their way into your hearts to help raise funds for the rehab center. Good Sam’s is the only nonprofit nursing home in the area that relies on donations and fundraising. The rehab center is 38 years old and funds raised will help remodel their rehab and therapy building, plus their 20 bedrooms. The bedrooms are used to house patients who have experienced strokes, falls, etc., but are still independent and can return home.
There will be additional activities as the Aztec Fire and Aztec Police Departments offer activities for kids, as well as a variety of food vendors. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased at the Good Sam’s front office at 500 Care Lane. For more information, contact Mariah Montanez at 505-419-9596. If you are unable to attend and would like to make a donation for this worthy cause, consider making your donation to the Good Sam’s Society for the renovation.
