FARMINGTON — A new forum designed to help entrepreneurs will kick off a new series at San Juan College on Friday morning.

Called the Business 2 Business Peer-Networking Group, the series will bring together experienced business leaders, as peer coaches, with local business leaders and entrepreneurs, connecting them and allowing them to share ideas, receive feedback and network, according to Enterprise Center Director Judy Castleberry.

The first forum will run from 8 to 9 a.m. Friday in room 5028 at the college's Quality Center for Business.

Castleberry said the new series, which will be held on the first Friday of each month, is modeled after the 1 Million Cups program, an initiative of the Kansas City, Mo.-based Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. The program is a weekly early morning gathering for the start-up community that supports business ideas.

"We are excited to bring a new event to our area," Castleberry said. "B2B is a forum for business owners to share information and support with their peers. ... We feel that our business owners needed a place where they can learn from each other in a fun and friendly environment. We hope business owners join us at the first session to experience and create a community that works for them."

For more information, contact Castleberry at 505-566-3699.
