The carnival at this year's San Juan County Fair may look a bit different than this image from 2016, but fairgoers can expect all the rides and food that county fairs are famous for. The carnival opens Friday, Aug. 10, at 6 p.m.

Kids 12 and younger admitted free with an old pair of eyeglasses that will be donated to the Farmington Evening Lions Club. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and leaders in uniform admitted to the fair free.
