FARMINGTON — Kim and Krickitt Carpenter will share their story, which inspired the movie "The Vow," during a Christian marriage night next week.

"We're just trying to bill it as a sequel to 'The Vow,'" said the Rev. Carl Brenner, president of the board of directors for the Four Corners Coalition for Marriage and Family, a nonprofit that organizes the Ultimate Date Night each year.

This year's event will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Farmington Civic Center, 200 W. Arrington St.

Brenner said the night will focus on why people need a vow and how they can live that vow.

In the past, tickets for the Ultimate Date Night event have cost $15 to $25. This year, however, local churches sponsored the event to make it free.

People still need to get tickets in advance. Tickets can be secured at the Four Corners Coalition for Marriage and Family, Vertical Radio, Christ Church, the Oasis Church, Word of Life, Calvary Chapel, Crossroads Community Church, Summit Church, Desert Heights Church, the First Baptist Churches of Farmington, Bloomfield and Aztec and the Journey Church.
