Chamber Chat: Chile makes way for Santa as winter nears
Thank you to everyone that came out, sponsored, volunteered, and cooked at this year’s Chile in October. The Chamber’s Promotions and Special Events committee did an outstanding job. Everyone enjoyed fabulous red chili, green chili and salsa, great music and beautiful weather. Congratulations once again to all of our winners. If you missed it you can check out pictures on the Chamber Facebook page and a list of winners.
Keeping in touch
Have you checked the Chamber website lately, gofarmington.com? Did you know that you can get a listing of all the chamber members, what benefits we offer, find out when the chamber meetings are and what chamber events that are coming up. We also have a link to our Community Roundup that comes out every Friday which will keep you up to date on what is going on around town. There is even a place for job listings.
Keeping businesses healthy
The Farmington Downtown Business Resiliency Project (a coalition of business‐support resource partners and sponsored by the Farmington Metropolitan Redevelopment Area Commission) is in full swing and the first of a series of 10 trainings focused on small business marketing and financial preparedness started Sept. 17 at the HQ downtown. We had 24 businesses attend the first class. The trainings are designed to increase business resiliency and profitability. It is not too late to get involved and come to the trainings. For more information go to: www.fdbrp.org.
