Farmington Chamber Chat: Fall is here, and Chile in October is coming up fast
Chili and salsa chefs sought for spicy annual event
It is time to fall in love with the fall season. There is so much happening during the months of September and October; fall festivals, football games, soccer games, art walks, chile roasting, pumpkin picking, craft fairs, walk-a thons, and the list goes on and on.
What a great community we live in. This is the time of year to get involved. If you have questions about what is happening in our area, please give the Chamber a call. We will be more than happy to help.
A few weeks ago the chamber hosted a Lunch and Learn called “Lead Productive & Engaging Meeting.” This was a great opportunity for our members to come together and learn how to have a productive meeting. It was also a chance to really think about why we should have meetings.
I think sometimes we meet just to meet when what we wanted to get across could have been done in an email or one on one. I am sure many of you host meetings or have to attend them. I would encourage you to stop and think about why you are having a meeting the next time it come up.
Mark your calendars now for the Chamber’s Annual Chile in October. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Berg Park. As you may know this is the weekend to get your chili fix and to have lots of fun. We are still looking for some really good red chili, green chili and salsa cooks.
If you are interested, please give the Chamber a call. We would love have you participate. This is also the Chamber’s biggest fundraiser of the year. We hope you will plan on attending.
Remember you can always stop by the Chamber office for all the latest news that is happening in the community, or give us a call.
Our office is located at 100 W. Broadway, and our phone number is 505-325-0279. We would love to see you.
