Aztec Chamber: Wings and Wheels was a success
More than 1,600 participants attended the car and plane show
Special Event - Wings and Wheels
If you could not find a parking space, Saturday, May 6, at the Aztec Municipal Airport to attend Aztec’s newest entertainment event, Wings and Wheels, you were not alone. More than 1,600 participants attended the car and plane show. Festivities included drag racing, airplane shows and touring, a car show on Sunday, as well as a variety of vendors showing their wares.
“We were flabbergasted at the amount of people that showed up. That tells us of the great interest in the event but also the sport of drag racing and interest in planes and cars. People were everywhere enjoying the event," said Bible. "I especially want to thank the City of Aztec for bending over backwards with all their assistance and cooperation to help make this event such a success as well as everyone at the Aztec Municipal Airport. I also want to thank the Aztec Chamber of Commerce who helped greet families and the public to the event.”
To become a part of next year’s show or for more information, call Troy Bible at (505) 419-1248.
