Juanita and Glenn Dobey celebrate 64th anniversary

Juanita and Glenn Dobey recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

Juanita Marie (Burkholder) and Glenn Roy Dobey, of Farmington, recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

The couple met in Sunday school class when they were 4 years old. They married Feb. 1, 1953, at Sargent Community Church near Monte Vista, Colo., with the Rev. L. Willits officiating.

Glenn is retired from El Paso Natural Gas Co. and worked at the U.S. Post Office. He also repaired and recycled wood pallets.

Juanita previously owned the Clean-a-Rama Dry Cleaner & Laundry and Broadway Beauty Salon. She is retired from San Juan Regional Medical Center's operating room.

The couple are members of the La Rosa de Saron Church and enjoy embroidering, reading, garage sales and visiting with friends.

The couple have five children, Roy Dobey, of Aztec, Karen Galindo, of Las Vegas, Nev., Darlene Dobey, of Farmington; Karla Miller, of De Queen, Ark., and Kitty Dobey (deceased). They also have nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
