Anniversary: Jonell and Kenneth Vaughan

Jonell and Kenneth Vaughan will celebrate 60 years of marriage next week.

Jonell (Linn) and Kenneth Vaughan, of Kirtland, will soon celebrate 60 years of marriage.

The couple met through mutual friends and were married Oct. 19, 1956, in Collbran, Colo.

They invite friends and family to join them in a celebration of the milestone anniversary from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at the TownePlace Suites in Farmington, 4200 Sierra Vista Drive.

Kenneth was an electrician for 40 years before retirement, and Jonell was a housewife.

Together, the couple enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, horseback riding and fishing.

They have three children, William Vaughan, of Colorado, Boyd Vaughan, of Texas, and Robbie Vaughan. The couple also helped raised their nephew, Robert Linn, of Arizona.

They also have six grandchildren, Ty Vaughan, of Farmington, Crystal Fujihara, of Rio Rancho, Kimo Vaughan, Nickolas Vaughan and Emily Vaughan, of Texas, and Amanda Linn, and seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Austin and Caleb Vaughan, of Farmington, Brianna and Alyssa Fujihara, of Rio Rancho, and Nathan and Elijah Vaughan, of Texas.
