FARMINGTON —Two local students have been named to the Dean’s List at Chadron State College for the fall semester.

Sierra Martinez and Henry Strauss, both of Aztec, were among the 400 students who were named to the Dean’s List for the school, which is located in Chadron, Neb.

Students who earn the distinction must have at least a 3.5 GPA and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours that semester.

A Farmington student was among the 753 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo., during the fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 9 to 10.

Cae Herlin, of Farmington, graduated from UNC with a bachelor’s degree in special education.

Another local student,

Barry Wick, of Farmington, was named to the honor roll list for the fall semester at Spokane Falls Community College in Spokane, Wash.

Students named to the honor roll must earn at least a 3.0 GPA.

Finally, several local students graduated on Dec. 10 from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales.

The students include:

  • Michelle Burgess, of Farmington, who graduated with a master’s degree in communicative disorders
  • Caitlyn Espinoza, of Aztec, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology
  • Hannah Gomez, of Farmington, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration
  • Kenneth Raybon, of Farmington, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in applied arts and sciences
  • Richard Spellbring, of Farmington, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in university studies
  • Kelly Staley, of Farmington, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Kathy Teston, of Farmington, who graduated with a master’s degree in business administration
  • Diane Vaughn, of Farmington, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communicative disorder
