Catchpole was born on Dec. 17, 1913, in Ardmore, Okla. She moved to Pagosa Springs, Colo., and married Harvey Catchpole in 1938, according to information provided by PALS. The couple raised their family and worked in Pagosa Springs until 1990, when Catchpole relocated to Bloomfield to be near her son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Marka Catchpole. Catchpole, who lives in her home with assistance from PALS caregivers, taught piano lessons throughout her adult life and still plays today. She said the secret to a long life is "have a happy disposition."
