FARMINGTON — Farmington Elk Lodge 1747 sponsored the Rolling with the Military motorcycle run and fun day on June 11.

The local lodge has sponsored the event for the past 15 years.

Funds raised from the event will be used to buy phone cards for hospitalized veterans and active military servicemen and women deployed overseas.

This year, 92 bikes, cars and 133 riders participated in the event.

The route started at the lodge in Farmington and continued through Colorado before looping back to the lodge. At five stops along the route, riders collected tickets, rested and received cold water.

Lunch at the lodge was provided by Texas Roadhouse and the Rolling with the Military committee. A silent auction and raffles, which included items donated from local merchants, took place throughout the afternoon.
