Farmington girl will compete for Miss Junior Teen

Amberly Smith, of Farmington, was recently chosen to participate in the 2016 Miss Junior Teen pageant.

Amberly Smith, of Farmington, was recently chosen to participate in the 2016 Miss Junior Teen pageant on July 24.

Contestants were chosen after interviews in Albuquerque. The pageant is organized by Miss Teen Pageants.

Amberly will compete in a Miss Junior Teen division, which includes casual and formal wear modeling and evaluation of contestants’ personality and interview skills.

If she were to win the title, Amberly would represent Albuquerque at the national competition in Orlando, Fla.
