FARMINGTON — In celebration of the 15th annual Comcast Care Day, more than 100 employees, family members, friends and community partners volunteered on April 30 at Navajo Preparatory School.

The volunteers painted curbs, washed windows, picked up trash and rebuilt a retaining wall.

The project was one of nearly 7,000 projects in communities throughout the country since Comcast began Care Day in 2001.

"As we celebrate our 15th annual Comcast Cares Day, we are so proud to partner with Navajo Preparatory School to make a difference in our community," said Chris Dunkeson, the area vice president of Comcast, in a press release. "It’s truly amazing what’s possible in a day, when 100 volunteers donate their time to make a difference in the lives of others. I’m inspired by the community’s response to Comcast Cares Day and I thank the participants who help to make this effort a success."
