The Wells Fargo/Golden Apple Teacher Partner Program recently presented grants to 32 teachers and schools in eight counties across the state, and a teacher and a principal in Farmington were among the recipients who were awarded funds for classroom projects.

Farmington High School Principal Tim Kienitz received a $1,000 grant to support a classroom project called “A journey through the history of mankind's achievements in clay" that will involve 60 students.

Wendy Carpenter, a fifth-grade teacher at Ladera Del Norte Elementary School, received a $2,900 grant to support her "walking classroom project" that will benefit 88 students.
