Wedding: Travis and Rachel VanHerwaarden

Travis and Rachel VanHerwaarden of Farmington exchanged wedding vows on July 25 at Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson, Nev., and pastor Mike Willis officiated the ceremony. The couple had their reception at the resort, and they spent their honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Meranda Velasquez, the bride's sister, was the maid of honor, and Naquita Rivas, Chelsey Ford, Kayla Cluff, Miranda Velasquez and Becca Jeffers were the bridesmaids. Jay VanHerwaarden, the groom's brother, was the best man, and Billy Beyhan, Derrick Bloom, Jesse Locke, John Keating and Matt Hendrickson were the groomsmen.

Rachel is the daughter of Chris and Eleanor Velasquez of Farmington. She is applying for the physical therapist assistant program, and she is a reporter for 4CornersTV.com.

Travis is the son of Braum and Jenni VanHerwaarden of Aztec. He attended the University of New Mexico has earned a fire science degree from San Juan College. He is currently employed as an engineer with the Farmington Fire Department.

The couple has made their home in Farmington.
